Bill Watterson has this amazing ability to foster and development a commitment from his readers to his characters. I personally hold a deep affection for Calvin and Hobbes as the comic strip not only follows the story of a naughty six year old boy and his imaginary friend, but explores topics that address everyday life such as relationships with classmates, political opinion, and public education. Bill Watterson created this daily comic for ten years, and the strip has been grouped into many different books in many different countries. This collection follows Calvin, an adventurous and creative six year old, and his best friend Hobbes, a stuffed tiger with a sarcastic and witty demeanor. ![]()
